Marine Controlled-Source Electromagnetic Data Denoising Method Using Symplectic Geometry Mode Decomposition

چکیده

The marine controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) method is an efficient tool for hydrocarbon exploration. amplitudes of signals decay rapidly with the increasing offset, so are easily contaminated by various kinds noise. A denoising critical to improve data quality, but diversity noise makes difficult. Specific frequency transmitted exploration requirements, and thus traditional filtering methods not suitable. Symplectic geometry mode decomposition (SGMD), a new decompose signals, has outstanding performance robustness. Furthermore, it can reduce multiple types reconstructing single components. In this study, we introduced SGMD CSEM improved quality significantly. experiments show that better than variational sym4 wavelet method.

Special Section — Marine Controlled-source Electromagnetic Methods an Introduction to Marine Controlled-source Electromagnetic Methods for Hydrocarbon Exploration

Early development of marine electromagnetic methods, dating back about 80 years, was driven largely by defense/military applications, and use for these purposes continues to this day. Deepwater, frequency-domain, electric dipole-dipole, controlled-source electromagnetic CSEM methods arose from academic studies of the oceanic lithosphere in the 1980s, and although the hydrocarbon exploration ind...

Denoising via Empirical Mode Decomposition

In this paper a signal denoising scheme based a multiresolution approach referred to as Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) [1] is presented. The denoising method is a fully data driven approach. Noisy signal is decomposed adaptively into intrinsic oscillatory components called Intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) using a decomposition algorithm algorithm called sifting process. The basic principle o...

Denoising in Biomedical signals using Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition

Abstract: In this paper a novel Ensemble Empirical Mode decomposition (EEMD) and adaptive filtering is proposed to filter out Gaussian noise and contact noise contained in raw biomedical signals. Real Biomedical signals from the MIT-BIH database are used to validate the performance of the proposed method. It has been observed that original signals can be significantly enhanced by using the prop...

Partial Discharge Signal Denoising Using the Empirical Mode Decomposition

This paper presents the findings of an investigation into Partial Discharge signal denoising using techniques based on Empirical Mode Decomposition. The denoising techniques are based on thresholding the Intrinsic Mode Functions which result from the Empirical Mode Decomposition of a signal. The results of the tests carried out show clearly that these techniques can produce excellent results wh...
